holiday destination

Turanj is a small tourist place 20km from the city of Zadar and 3km from Biograd.
An ideal place for vacation far away from city traffic and stressful life of big city.
Turanj, with its 12 offshore islands and islets, offers you the opportunity to visit them.
The largest and most populated island is Babac.
Turanj is close to 3 national parks.

Leisure activities in the area

Boats can be rented on the beach to go to the nearby islands, as well as playing beach volleyball and table tennis. Leisure activities on the beach are of course also very good for swimming, snorkeling, playing volleyball and table tennis, pedal boat and kayak rentals and a large trampoline are also available. Afterwards you can quench your thirst in one of the numerous cafes and beach bars or have a bite to eat in one of the restaurants.
In the village there is the possibility to play football, tennis or basketball. Diving trips are also offered.
In the center there are several tourism agencies that organize trips to the nearby national parks, eg by boat to the Kornati islands, Krka (50 km away) and Paklenica (80 km away). Furthermore, cultural events, concerts, etc. take place almost every evening in summer. Boredom should not arise, but lots of fun and relaxation. In the immediate vicinity of the complex you will find a small supermarket. There are numerous good restaurants in the village and in the morning you will find two bakers 800 meters away, as well as a small market with fresh fruit etc.

National and Natural Parks

Krka National Park is located about 45 km from Turanj. The eponymous river Krka has, in addition to many small waterfalls, 8 large waterfalls, seven of which are in the area of the Krka National Park. The Skradinski buk is considered the most beautiful section of the national park. The waterfalls, lakes and rapids of this last and longest travertine barrier in the river's course can be explored on a trail.

Zadar

The city of Zadar is 20 km away from Turanj. City history and beauty.
On the extreme tip of the Zadar peninsula, next to the world-famous Sea Organ, the work Greeting in the Sun, designed by the same architect Nikola Basic, also shines. Greeting to the Sun consists of three hundred multi-layered glass panels arranged in a circle on the same level with the stone-paved waterfront. The circle has a diameter of 22 meters. The Greeting to the Sun was designed in the form of an amphitheater. Shopping center, Lidl, Kaufland and Bauhaus in the city.
